Children’s Garden Montessori School enrolls children 18 months to 6 years old in Toddler, Primary and Kindergarten classes.

We use an annual lottery system to enroll new children (around15 students of new families each year, depending on the number of new siblings) for the coming school year and to establish waitlists for our programs. After current students and siblings are placed, we use the lottery ordered waitlists to offer placement for new children. See the FAQ page for details.

Waitlists hold through one school year only; they do not rollover from year to year. See applying process.

Application & Enrollment Timeline

October-February: Attend a Parent Preview & Presentation

November – February 15: Apply for lottery and waitlist for enrollment in the fall. Parent Preview attendance required.

February – March: Current student and sibling enrollment for the fall.

Early March approx.: Lottery. We conduct a lottery for each age/gender group (8 age groups) – from which offers of enrollment are made and waitlists are established.

March 10-15: Lottery determined positions (in age/gender specific group) are sent via email by this date.

March – April: Enrollment offers made as they come available using the lottery generated waitlists.

May-Onward: Waitlists used as needed throughout the summer and into the school year.

November-February15: Re-Apply for applicants on the current year’s waitlist for the following school year. Waitlists do not rollover year to year.

Upon receipt of an application and a $75 non-refundable application fee, children will be placed in applicant pools for the lottery. The lottery takes place in March, for fall enrollment. Waivers for the application fee may be available.

Applications for the lottery are open each year November 1 to February 15. Notification of each child’s lottery assigned number is sent March 10-15.

Applications received after February 15 are not included in the general lottery and will be added to age/gender specific 2nd round waitlists in the order they are received.

Parent Previews should be completed before enrollment is offered.
